After your institution adds you as a user to its Calculus account, the institution sends you an email from Calculus giving.
This email usually comes from noreply@sprintax.com. Some institutions may use a different sender address, but the address always ends in @sprintax.com. Your institution sets the subject line and body text, so these differ from one institution to another.
Once you receive this email, you should follow the below instructions to access your account:
- Click the link or copy and paste the URL into the address bar.
- You will be redirected to the below page:
- Click Campus to login through SSO.
- You will be redirected to the below page:
- Search for your institution in the search box or select it from the dropdown.
- Select Continue.
- You will be redirected to your institutional login page. Login as normal here and you will be redirected back to Calculus.
- On your first login into your account, you will see the below screen:
- The above question refers to any previous Sprintax accounts you may have had before you were added to this institutional account.
- If this is the first time being added to a Sprintax account, you should select No to the above.
- After selecting No, you will be prompted to confirm your first and last name as seen above.
- Once you have entered these, select Continue.
- You will be redirected to the below page:
- Here, you will need to set up a form of Multi-factor Authentication (this is an IRS requirement).
- The two immediate options are Passkey or Authenticator App.
- If you click Try another method, you will see another option of Text Message. However, please note that Text Message MFA is not available in every country/territory around the world, so we would recommend using Passkey or App.
- If you would like further info on how to enable or disable each form of MFA, you can access the Sprintax Calculus User Knowledge Base > Multi-factor Authentication.
Please note that we strongly encourage you to have two forms of MFA set up in your account in case you lose access to one. Again, more info on enabling and disabling MFA can be found in our Knowledge Base
- Once you have set your MFA, you will be redirected to the below page:
- From the Select payer/payers dropdown, you should see your institution listed (as well as any other institutional accounts you have been added to under the same email).
- Select your institution to proceed to the Calculus user questionnaire.
If you do not see your institution listed in the above dropdown, please contact the relevant office there.
