How to set-up 2FA?

Important: You can download our MFA guide at the bottom of the article.

As Sprintax has provided the option to e-sign the W8BEN form, a Two-factor Authentication is required. Its purpose is to provide additional security measure to protect your personal information.

You will be requested to activate MFA if you choose your tax form(s) electronically:

You have to click on 'Continue' and you will be directed to a QR code that you will have to scan:

To proceed further, you should download the MS or Google authenticator app on your device. Once the app is downloaded, go to 'Settings/Add new account' in the authenticator app and scan the QR code that you see on your page.

Make sure to check if your new account with the name "Sprintax Calculus" is created in the authenticator app on your mobile device:

Important: Experiencing any issues issues with your 6-digit code? To find out why click  here.

After that's done, you have to go back to your Calculus and enter your code from the 2FA app that you downloaded. Once you enter the code in the Calculus 2FA window, you should click on 'Verify'.

Important: The 6-digit code in the Authenticator app refreshes every 30 seconds. When you are asked to enter the 6-digit code, it needs to be within the 30 seconds limit, otherwise, you'll be prompted to enter the code again. Please, do not delete the Sprintax Calculus account in the Authenticator app to maintain your access to your Sprintax Calculus profile.

If you were able to proceed further, you should navigate towards the 'Tax Forms' section where you will have to e-sign your form:
